Bordeaux
Blotti, under the pine trees in the heart of the Léognan forest, is a vineyard whose reputation is never questioned. Since 1983 Olivier Bernard, joviality personnified, has enjoyed considerable success. Extended by 35 hectares in 1985, 5 of which are planted with white wine varieties which produce sheer oenological marvels, the vineyard has an unusually dense degree of plantation, with 10,000 vines per hectare. The grapes are harvested by hand, the circular vat is spectacular, and the white wines are aged for 18 months in 1/3 new oak barrels. The red wines are fermented according to their variety in steel vats before being mixed and aged in 1/3 new barrels. Olivier Bernard rejects the latest trends, those things with a limited existence
