Colette Faller is the great lady of Kaysersberg. Since the death of her husban in 1979, and now with her two daughters Catherine et Laurence, she has run this increasingly important domaine - the famous Clos du Capucins. A matchless micro-climate - mild in winter, really hot in summer -, an ideal situation for the alluvial deposits of the Weiss and low yields produce wines of exceptional purity, often with an extra dry side to the Riesling, and unusually concentrated Gewurztraminer
