With a decrease in price of 40% relative to 2007 and a successful 2008, Château Angélus will definitely be one of the most appreciated Saint-Emilion Grands Crus in Primeurs this year !
A classic vintage
In the glass, an intense crimson colour shines through Hubert de Boüard’s great wine. Its composition of 58% Merlot and 42% Cabernet Franc has stayed about the same in this tardy vintage. Wine lovers will enjoy the wild and virile character of its aromas of blackberries, cedar, liquorice and roasted coffee. They show great refinement this year.
Balance, silkiness and refinement
This wine, which is balanced and elegant and has a nice strength under the palate, offers a dense and ripe body with an incredibly silky feel. It then lengthens intensely on fresh and smooth notes of woody vanilla.
Take advantage of this much lower price and fill your wine cellars with this great, classic Saint-Emilion Grand Cru!
