By recruiting Jean-Bernard Delmas, the former Technical Director of Château Haut Brion and Michel Rolland as a consultant, Martin Bouygues, the new owner of this Lord, has acquired “a prestigious racing stable” and two of the greatest “drivers” in Bordeaux wines.
Jean-Bernard Delmas’s second vintage “fully inaugurates the latest trend in Montrose”, writes Quarin. The vintage that is known for its massive character has in fact given itself a new fineness, while maintaining its natural generosity and intensity.
Montrose 2007, which is more attractive in Primeurs than its predecessors, is already a velvety, supple and intense wine.
This wine, which is made with 64% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% of Merlot, 5% of Cabernet Franc and 1% of Petit Verdot, releases sumptuous aromas of smoked earth, flowers, blackberries and black cherries.
This is a “very refined” Montrose, according to the Revue du Vin de France.
