Léoville las Cases 2007 will be a beautiful wine for ageing, which is a remarkable feat for this vintage, in which it asserts itself as one of the great wines of Médoc.
First, by its deep crimson colour and visible depth. And then by the richness of its fragrances of red berries, tobacco and flowers. And finally by this incredible precision, which leads the wine lover to the heart of an ample structure where he or she is surrounded by complexity and purity.
Thanks to a “late harvest” strategy without over-ripening and rigorous sorting, the 82% of Cabernet Sauvignon that make up Léoville Las Cases 2007 offered aromatic and tasty raw materials. The Grand Cru team was able to exploit this fully.
Once it was made, the harmony of this wine reminded Jean-Hubert Delon, its owner, of the 1996 vintage.
