Château Cos d'Estournel 2007

This is the first time in the history of Cos d’Estournel that Cabernet Sauvignon plays such a major role: 85%, for 12% of Merlot and 3% of Cabernet Franc.

The quality of this grape variety is exceptional due to the amount of sunlight during September. Another secret in the success of Cos d’Estournel 2007, which received a mark of 90-93/100 from Parker, is the anticipation shown by Jean-Guillaume Prats. He launched a major thinning offensive as early as June and took the risk of his fruit burning had the summer been a normal one. Cos d’Estournel 2007 offers a ripe and concentrated character that does not lack strength or exoticism. It releases aromas of dried flowers, smoke, spices and prunes, and offers a full and silky body under the palate.

It spreads its supple body in a lively and distinguished manner over touches of menthol and liquorice.

This is a wine for ageing.
