“Château Simone, unique in Provence" (Le Point). Definitely a title that is somewhat exclusive, but which truly reflects the exceptional character of this ambassador of Palette, a minuscule name created in its honour.
An exceptional vineyard
The Rougier family’s wines resemble their native land: a beautiful amphitheatre of old vineyards that is very intelligently built in the quarters of the Sainte Victoire Mountain. The pine forest that surrounds it and the lime sub-soils that support it allow it to take advantage of the beneficial effects of the Mistral wind and the sun without ever suffering from their burning breaths.
Elegance above all
It is in this showcase of scrubland, which is bathed by Mediterranean essences, that the Château Simone wines weave their magic.
This 2005, which is a wine for aesthetes par excellence, is made mostly of Grenache (45%) and Mourvèdre (30%). It opens on ripe aromas of prunes, pepper, sweet spices and truffles, and finishes seducing you with its silky touch, its distinguished personality, its persistence…
A vintage that should not be missed.
