For all wine lovers, 2007 is a fabulous vintage in Sauternes.
Château Rieussec, which received marks of 93-97/100 from the Wine Spectator and 19/20 from Jancis Robinson, is one of its most brilliant Lords.
The success of Rieussec 2007 is even more remarkable considering that the vintage was not exactly an easy one to make: for example, the harvest took two months!
Ultimately, the estate has chosen to make a wine with a majority of Sémillon (97%). Muscadelle and Sauvignon Blanc were the other grapes used.
Rieussec 2007 releases intense aromas of honey, flowers, yellow peaches and marzipan. Its power, balance and freshness make these aromas last for a long time under the palate.
This is one of the unavoidable wines of reference in the 2007 vintage!
