In just a few years, the reputation of Château Pape Clément Blanc has caught up with, and even overtaken, that of Pape Clément Rouge!
This success is the obvious fruit of a series of excellent vintages that have placed the pale and brilliant gold of Bernard Magrez among the three top Pessac Léognan dry white wines. Alongside it are found Haut-Brion and Château Chevalier. All three are different but have the same level of quality.
Pape Clément Blanc 2007, which received a mark of 92-96/100 from the Wine Spectator, washes its surroundings in sensual aromas of woody vanilla, toasted bread and exotic fruits. A seductive trend that is provided by the unctuous character of its body under the palate.
It’s unbelievable… Its finish gives it the time to express all its complexity: nuances of papaya, green apples, smoke, white truffle… This noble wine, which is ample and smooth, refuses to exaggerate: its beautiful structure and freshness will allow it to age for many long years.
This is an excellent year for Bordeaux whites: do not miss one of the greatest ones!
