Château Lynch Bages 2007

Bettane and Desseauve point out, and rightly so, a return to classicism at Château Lynch Bages since the vineyard was taken over by Jean-Michel Cazes’s son, Jean-Charles, in 2006.

The setting aside of a “baroque flamboyance” and a return to the fineness and precision of great Pauillacs seem to have surprised American critics, who gave it harsh marks, while French ones acclaimed it.

2007 is "a great Lynch Bages", according to the Revue du Vin de France and, after the Premiers Crus Classés, “the best in Pauillacs” according to Le Point magazine.

Lynch Bages 2007, which has undergone a strict selection (62% of the harvest), distinguishes itself by its complexity (cedar, black currant, flowers and pepper) as well as its ampleness, density and depth under the palate.

This is a wine for all lovers of pure Pauillacs.
