There is absolutely no excuse to miss this Margaux!
Château Lascombes’s new success, which received a mark of 90-93/100 from Parker, can be added to a superb trophy case that started in 2000 with the arrival of the brilliant trio of Yves Vatelot, Alain Raynaud and Michel Rolland who were entrusted with giving its lustre back to the name.
This Margaux Deuxième Cru Classé has once again found its letters patent of nobility and can claim to be one of the very best wines in Médoc in 2007.
Its colour, which is almost black and shot with blood-red highlights, calls out for admiration from the very first look. It releases deep and fresh aromas of blackberries, leather and roasted coffee.
The touch of its supple and juicy body, which is concentrated under the palate, becomes more and more refined as the wine implodes with strength under the palate.
Its final bouquet of cedar notes is a small wonder.
An ESSENTIAL 2007 Bordeaux Primeur.
