With the arrival of Mr Carriet, Château Fieuzal has changed its looks. This wine, which once was made of equal parts of Sémillon and Sauvignon, has now given a slight edge to the latter: 70% of Sauvignon.
Its new notes of pine resin, acacia honey and wet earth, which enrich delicious peach aromas, suit it like a glove! And Parker appreciates it with a mark of 92-94/100.
Château Fieuzal Blanc 2007, which is fully at ease with itself, gives centre stage to its roundness, suppleness and lasting elegance. It may be less intense than usual, but it is ravishing and tastefully made.
And what delicious attention given to this finish and its notes of truffle!
A very good choice.
