“Wow!”, writes James Suckling. This favourite, which was highly appreciated by the entire audience of critics, as seen by the marks it gave to Château de Fargues 2007, makes of Comte de Lur Saluces’s wine one of the most beautiful examples of Sauternes in this vintage.
Wine spectator: 92-96/100; Decanter: 18/20; Jancis Robinson: 17,5/20.
In this excellent Sauternes vintage, it proves that it can compete with its most illustrious neighbours.
Its colour, which is clear and brilliant, reflects the purity of its aromas of honey, citrus fruits and hazelnuts. This is a very classical, ripe, fine and spicy Sauternes with a nice mineral freshness which makes its delicious taste last even longer.
Not to be missed!
