Château Talbot is one of the nice surprises of 2006, according to The Wine Spectator, which qualifies it as “impressive” for this delicate vintage and gives it a mark of 89-91/100. This wine offers all that is expected of a nice Saint-Julien wine: elegant and intense aromas (violets, tobacco, raspberries, etc.), a supple and juicy body, and all the freshness of youth. Less exuberant than its peers, Talbot 2006 distinguishes itself by its delicacy.
