Château Smith Haut Lafitte - Magnum 2006
Classed Growh, Pessac-léognan, red
Bordeaux, France

In this grand cru classé from Graves, 2006 once again represents complete success in both red and white wines. Today it is a true asset to its appellation. This year, Daniel and Florence Cathiard, “the passionate perfectionists” (Parker) played the card from their finest Graves terroir, giving birth to a truly classical wine. The resulting sensation on the palate is of an exquisite but pronounced caress, draped in pure aromas of blond tobacco, lead pencil shavings, mulberry, earth, smoke and spices. Give it pride of place in your cellar and let it develop for ten years or so.
