In 1983, a beautiful blue sky shone over Lagrange. Yes, the Suntory Company did launch a friendly take-over of the domain, but something else was even more beneficial: that same year, Lagrange welcomed Marcel Ducasse, a student of Emile Paynaud, who remained his advisor for some time. Twenty-three years later, the 2006 vintage celebrates the departure of this great man, who has brought the wines of the domain to the top of “Saint-Julien les Charmes”. A very dense and very fruity anniversary vintage. And still very elegant.
