Nothing, not even the pernicious rains of this vintage, could have stopped Lafon Rochet in its quest to be “the greatest”. The 2006 vintage, because of its strength and “fleshy” character, prolongs this founding impulse. More mature and more open than other Saint-Estèphes, Lafon Rochet 2006 combines the body of age and the pleasure of youth. Black berries, chocolate and soft spices, elegance, balance: a true style of its own, Michel Tesseron’ style, and now the style of his son Basile, who has just taken over the reins of the Château.
