It is possible that De Fargues has never been as expressive as in 2006. The vintage of the former number one of Yquem is not only a syrupy white wine, it also presents itself as a painting in process, a chiaroscuro of complementary elements. You only need to delight in its concentration and aromatic richness for the voice of subtlety to rise immediately (of which a touch of ginger that drives James Suckling crazy!). In the same way, you barely have time to question its opulence before the wine flows with liveliness. More than a painting, a lively song where strength and fineness sing in perfect harmony. (And a decrease of 30% compared to 2005…)
