The primary asset of Thierry Valette’s inspired wine is its price: 20% less expensive than in 2005. A godsend, because the second asset of this rising star in Bordeaux is to come in ahead of the most beautiful expressions of the Côtes de Castillon in 2006, according to Decanter, and to be one of the vintages “highly recommended” by Jean-Marc Quarin.
