Buoyed by its 2005 success, Château Bernadotte, the unmissable Haut-Médoc from Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, is now staking its claim for 2006: by offering lovers of fine Médocs a quality red wine at a consistently accessible price. Since 1997, Château Bernadotte has been producing success after success. Admittedly, its product is rather attractive… Originating from parcels of land in the Haut-Médoc where the great producers such as Château Latour also chose to invest, this virile wine with blackberry aromas has been lovingly composed by the Pauillac grand cru classé team. Among pure deep Haut-Médoc wines, with all their strength and structure, Bernadotte 2006 is the embodiment of this appellation with consistently good output this year. With its bewitching spiced incense notes unfurling right across the palate, this is a fresh and racy wine. Yet again, Bernadotte has kept its promise: it does indeed offer an excellent price-pleasure ratio.
