Pierre-Jacques Druet "100 Boisselées" 2005
Monday 09/06/2008 |
The “100 Boisselées" is one of our best-sellers every year. A justly deserved success for this attractively priced wine, which is made into a great wine for enjoyment under the talented touch of its winemaker.
Pierre-Jacques Druet is an outstanding winemaker. He was trained as an oenologist and settled in the Val de Loire in 1980. Through passion and experiments, he has been able to bring forth exceptional wines from the lands of Bourgueil and asserts himself as one of the best red winemakers of his region.
The 100 Boisselées vintage, which refers to an old agricultural measurement that is still used in Bourgueil today, seduces right away by its aromas of red berries, liquorice and spices. Its fresh and concentrated body is lively under the palate, which is charmed and surprised by its silkiness and suppleness. Its notes of cedar, smoke and spices make the echo of this wine, which is so pleasant and perfectly made in 2005, linger for long seconds.
A wine that you should fill your cellars with.
