Clos Louie 2004, 150-year old vineyards in Bordeaux… A Miracle.
Tuesday 17/04/2007 |
“The revelation of the vintage”, states Parker, which has given it a mark of 90-92/100.
This 2004 “micro-vintage” of Clos Louie (offered for the first time in 2003) will delight all wine lovers seeking a quality from another time, much like Aubert de Villaine of Romanée Conti, for whom pre-phylloxera wines are “absolute models”.
Clos Louie 2004, which is full of elegance and finesse, releases aromas of blueberry and mocha and notes of grilled wood and vanilla with marvellous amplitude, after one has experienced its velvety body.
Needless to say, Pascal Lucin, owner of Clos Louie and Technical Director of a Saint Emillion Grand Cru, has done an exceptional job of preserving and growing this plot he has inherited from his grandfather. There is no doubt that this additional soul is due to his intuitive knowledge of wine… A very rare wine not to be missed under any pretext!
