Château Lalande-Borie 2001: the coming-up star from Saint-Julien
Wednesday 31/08/2005
Young property in the village of Saint-Julien, the Château Lalande-Borie has been created from a third growth château by the Borie familly (owner of the prestigious château Ducru-Beaucaillou, Haut-Batailley and Grand-Puy-Lacoste). Situated a few steps away from its elder brother, the château Ducru-Beaucaillou, it benefits of all its expertise and experience to produce a wine that has already conquered the greatest Saint-Julien amateurs
Dressed in a deep red colour with ruby hues, you will find the perfect typicity of a great Saint-Julien with a neat and intense nose of red fruits, sweet spices and toasted hints worthy of “Grand Cru Classé” ageeing. The overall is greedy, elegant and presents a certain strength that shows the exceptional potential of this yet unknown cru.
The Borie family's particular care towards this château is not a secret anymore, and its great success in 2001 will fulfil every amateur of great Bordeaux. It would be a shame to let go such a complex and elegant great value wine!
