New: The first authorship wines
Monday 25/09/2006
The Château d’Arsac owner, benefiting from the Margaux appellation and passionate of contemporary art, Philippe Raoux has just inaugurated a completely odd range of wines called "The Winemaker’s collection".
What is the concept? For an entire season, a famous oenologist creates the wine of his dreams compelling what he wants from the beginning to the end. The revealed objective? "Put the man work in the centre of wine culture back and delimit a cuvee by his “author” personality rather than geographical origins, appellations or vintages”.
A very interesting artistic trial; which appears when the marketing model of the wines from the New World, approaching the consumers with grape varieties and sometimes, a ultramodern design tempts more and more people. Furthermore when the first episode of the saga directs the great Michel Laurent!
Both film director and actor– as the black and white label suggests with its old “movie poster” style – the oenologist made it with enthusiasm. Like an illuminated despot, Michel Rolland elaborated his plan, his menu, chose players, set, components and proportioning… An artist dream!
While this first authorship wine will be available on April 2007, people are already talking about the next Woody Allen of Philippe Raoux… called Denis Dubourdieu de Doisy Daëne and Clos Floridène…
