Cairanne takes a great leap forward future

Thursday 14/09/2006

It is already the South, with dry lands and sun tanned faces. Less than 900 inhabitants decided to live here, in the Vaucluse high lands, at a few kilometers of l’Enclave des Papes. Cairanne is a lovely village full of relic of the past… A point the tourist’s guides cannot forget to mention…

Old rocks and again old rocks…but also old vines. Cairanne is first of all a wine land that can count on its talented and passionate independent winemakers and on its cooperative that gathers more than 200 producers together to make growing the region popularity.

Indeed, the appellation has many assets: these centenary vines, a very mild climate, a diversity of soils that are able to exalt all the great grape varieties from the Rhône Valley, from which a great name, Marcel Richaud.

An example on which the new quality charter of the village, initiative for which all the producers agreed, paying trbute to the work this man did, having forgotten from many times now the words “acidification, yeasting, sticking". A fountain of youth based on three key words: subtlety, finesse and naturalness. Do not forget this name, Cairanne.
