The Prince Robert de Luxembourg's 'Essays'
Tuesday 06/12/2005
Prince Robert de Luxembourg, ex Hollywood scriptwriter, who unparalleled manages its family property, Châteaux Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion since 1997, imagined Clarendelle, thinking about his great grandfather, Clarence Dillon. He wanted to be faithful to the perfection that the great man established in the family and its property. Clarendelle is this way an admirable tribute to Clarence Dillon, an American financier who acquired this big domain after a short vacation in Bordeaux in 1934. Prince Robert de Luxembourg evokes very noble reasons for the Clarendelle creation: 'We have an excellent soil and extraordinary human and intellectual resources in Bordeaux. We just have to present our wines to consumers in a more innovative, attractive way'. Prince Robert de Luxembourg is still faithful to both his family's past, past of great precursors in wine universe, and to the Bordeaux soil, country of Montaigne and his famous 'Essais' (Essays)
