On the Pomerol plateau, the vines are planted on the gravel terroir of a sunny hilltop and on the clay land around the chateau. Merlot is the predominant variety with 80%. Jean-Pierre Moueix is the tenant wine-grower and Jean-Claude Berrouet the oenologist, hence the certain similarity with Petrus. The wine of the great, apprximately ten year old vintages, is delicious.
