If there were an ideal Barsac then it would surely be that produced by the wonderful Brigitte Lurton-Belondrade. The fragrant golden liquid is produced from vines ( 98 % sémillon) planted on a ground of chalky-clay and reddish sand swathed in early morning mist, producing juicy fruit. The first impression is one of intensity, delciacy and freshness. the trilogy of vintages 88, 89, 90 is exceptional.
