Saint-Julien

Bordeaux

A subtle mixture that captures the best from Pauillac and Margaux. Concentrated, dense yet elegant.

The Lords

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou
Second Class Growth.
For many, this is the quintessence of the Médoc. A fabulously elegant wine which could almost be counted as a First Class Growth.

Château Gruaud-Larose
Second Class Growth.
One of the biggest Cru Classés in the Médoc. A classy, powerful, full-bodied Saint-Julien, that requires bottle age.

Château Léoville-Barton
Second Class Growth.
Perfectly balanced, this extremely elegant wine, full of character is considered one of the very best from Saint-Julien.

Château Léoville Las Cases
Second Class Growth.
The chateau always produces an exceptional wine- among the very best that come from Bordeaux. The domain also produces a top quality second wine - the Clos du Marquis.

Château Léoville-Poyferré
Second Class Growth.
Among the three Léovilles, this château produces wines with a powerful structure. Great length on the finish.

The Mythics

Château Beychevelle
Fourth Class Growth.
A wine of great elegance, a classic example of a Saint-Julien. On the whole should be kept 10 years or so.

Château Branaire-Ducru
Fourth Class Growth
. Quality is perfect and tasting is amazing. Branaire give us spices and chocolat aromas, rare for this appelation.

Château Lagrange
Third Class Growth.
A great Bordeaux that often gets high ratings - be they from Quarin or Parker - due to its fabulous roundness, its complexity, and its delicious mouthfill qualities.

Château Talbot
Fourth Class Growth.
A wine with finesse and yet well-structured, with a powerful aromatic presence. Can be drunk fairly young (5-8 years), but can also be kept.

The Reasonables

Amiral de Beychevelle
Second wine of Château Beychevelle.
So difficult to find, You can’t refuse it when you have the occasion to taste it.

Château Gloria
Cru Bourgeois.
A high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, producing a perfectly balanced, full-bodied, complex wine.

Château Lalande Borie
Cru Bourgeois.
Produced by the owners of Ch. Ducru-Beaucaillou, this domain is run with the same meticulous attention to details… in its search for perfection.

Château Saint-Pierre
Fourth Class Growth.
For a longtime this domain remained undiscovered. Its prices have stayed relatively affordable compared to the stars of the appellation, which makes quite a seductive wine.

Clos du Marquis
Second wine of Château Léoville Las Cases.
The oldest second wine of Bordeaux, it is worthy of a First Class Growth.

Les Fiefs de Lagrange
Second wine of Château Lagrange.
It has the same cares of vinification of its elder. It is certainly one of the greatest second wine.
