La Dame de Montrose
Second wine of Château Montrose. Here, all is only roundness, tenderness and concentration. A wine to elutriate in order to reveal the maximum of its beauty.
Les Pagodes de Cos
Second wine of Château Cos dEstournel. A beautiful "Second", copy of his elder. An excellent quality-price ratio, a beautiful entry in the world of the high-class wine.
Château Calon-Ségur
Third Class Growth. The oldest domain in Saint-Estèphe. Its 1995 is considered the best wine from the Médoc in that vintage.
Château Haut-Marbuzet
Cru Bourgeois. One of the finest of the appellation. The hallmark of the wine is a particular richness and generosity of flavors not usually found in other wines from Saint-Estèphe.
Château Lafon-Rochet
Fourth Class Growth. A stylish wine showing great consistency throughout the different vintages. Prices have remained reasonable.
Château Phélan Ségur

The Reasonables
Château Clauzet
Cru Bourgeois. This small domain - it only covers 20 acres is run by a very professional team. Excellent value.
Château Cos Labory
Fifth Class Growth. For a long time this château was overshadowed by Cos DEstournel, its prestigious neighbor. At last the domain has found its well earned place amongst the prestigious chateaux of the appellation.
Château Les Ormes de Pez
Cru Bourgeois. This château belongs to the Cazes family who also own the prestigious Château Lynch-Bages. The quality is clearly there. The wines usually require 5 to 7 years of bottle age.
Château Lilian Ladouys
Cru Bourgeois. This domain has come back into the limelight since the 1980s. Great quality, particularly in the 1989 and 1990 vintages.
Château de Pez
Cru Bourgeois. This château belongs to the prestigious champagne house Louis Roederer. A deliciously spicy, round wine.
