Pomerol

Bordeaux

A small appellation that produces wonderfully rich and velvety wines.

Pétrus
The most famous of all wines, considered on a par, and sometimes perceived to be better than the First Class Growths. Pétrus is more than a wine - it’s a myth!

Château l'Evangile
Located between Pétrus and Cheval Blanc, this wine is seen by some as a synthesis of both these chateaux. A wine with a strong character. Fruity, rich and velvety.

Château Le Pin
This Pomerol has become the appellation’s new star. A minute production that wine amateurs world-wide all seem to want!

Vieux Château Certan
A wine of absolutely extraordinary quality. Perfectionism all along the line, from the vineyard work right up to the moment the wine is bottled. Magnificent!

Château Trotanoy
The origin of the chateaux'name is: "Too hard", due to its fabulous but difficult "terroir". One of the finest wines of the appellation.

The Mythics

Château Bon Pasteur
The world famous enologist – Michel Rolland – somehow also finds time to run his own château. The Merlot grapes are picked at the height of their ripeness, producing luscious, seductive wines. Should be put aside for at least 10 years.

Château Clinet
This wine was relatively unknown until recently. But its truly exceptional quality has pushed it in the ranks with the best of the appellation. Powerful, concentrated, voluptuous.

Château Gazin
Ideally located just behind Pétrus. Its soil gives a wine concentrated to the generous fruit, almost crystallized, which translates the flexibility of the merlot. Very "female".

Château La Conseillante
There is of course plenty of Merlot in this wine, but the presence of a higher than usual percentage of Cabernet-Sauvignon for a Pomerol, gives this wine its special character and complexity.

Château La Croix du Casse
A seductive wine full of charm which, vintage by vintage, is achieving more complexity while keepining its balance of finesse.

Château L'Eglise Clinet
A lovely balance between fruitiness, richness and mellowness. The 25% of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes adds complexity to this wine.

Château La Fleur Pétrus
This is Pétrus’ neighbour, and it ranks among the best from Pomerol.

Château Latour à Pomerol
The high proportion of Merlot grapes gives this wine a fabulous sensuous richness on the palate. Can reach extraordinary heights in the best vintages.

Château Nenin
According to the J.M.Quarin journalist: "If any Bordeaux made wine like this team, there would be nothing any more to criticize! ". What to say moreover?

Château Petit Village
Soft fruity mellowness with a fabulously elegant and complex finish.

The Reasonablest

Château La Croix de Gay
A great vintage of Burgundy would be said... And yet, it is indeed Pomerol, crémeux, juicy, with the silk finale. A true greediness!

Château Beauregard
A deep, concentrated wine, with a promise of a long life!
