AOC Provence
Bandol is known mainly for its rosé wines, however it is its red wine that guarantees the prestige of this Provençale appellation. They are strong and full-bodied wines which age well.
Bandol exploits its red Mourvèdre wines like no other region does . It constitutes 50% of its composition and gives a subtle aroma of blackcurrant and prune spiced up with a touch of pepper. Grenache, Cinsault with Syrah and Carignan make good rosé wines.
