Médoc, Haut-Médoc

Bordeaux

Bordeaux’ reputation is due in part to wines from this appellation. Wine lovers world-wide are attracted by its particular balance and finesse.

The Mythics

Château Camensac
Fifth Class Growth.
The vineyard is located on the border with the commune of Saint Julien, and in fact the wine compares well to the Classed growths from that commune.

Château Cantemerle
Fifth Class Growth.
A château that produces rich, supple and fruity wines. They are seductive in their youth, but can be kept 15 years.

Château Chasse-Spleen
Cru Bourgeois.
A wonderfully elegant wine, with plenty of character. Full-bodied, harmonious, tannic, it now rivals classed growth wines.

Château La Lagune
Troisième Cru Classé. A wine that everyone wants to have in their cellar. The quality curve is constantly on the rise, yet the price remains stable.

Château Maucaillou
Cru Bourgeois.
Constant, full with qualities and always very wise in term of price. It makes honor with Chasse Spleen and Poujeaux with Moulis name.

Château Potensac
Cru Bourgeois.
Confimed in its classification in 1978 like grand cru bourgeois. Traditional, fine and elegant, and very quickly delicious to taste.

Château Poujeaux
Cru Bourgeois.
The STAR of Moulis. A sure value of Bordeaux in the middle-class vintages. Always structured and elegant.

Château Sociando-Mallet
Cru Bourgeois.
This is the perfect example of a traditional Haut-Médoc: rich powerful, aromatic. A much sought of wine that requires bottle age.

The Reasonables

Château d'Agassac
Cru Bourgeois.
A classic: an expressive bouquet with a rich texture on the palate. A good aging potential.

Château Arnauld
Cru Bourgeois.
Supple and seductive due to a high proportion of the Merlot grape. The price is seductive too.

Château Charmail
Cru Bourgeois.
This château is not very well known, but the quality is definitely there. A velvety, seductive wine.

Château Cissac
Cru Bourgeois.
This well-known wine has a certain Pauillac "power" to it. Well-made.

Château Citran
Cru Bourgeois.
A seductive wine, described by some as having a "wild, untammed" side to it. Spicy aromas, elegant, complex. A favorite among the 1855 team.

Château Lanessan
Cru Bourgeois.
A deep and generous wine. A wine that generally requires 10 years of age before it reveals its true nobility.

Château Les Ormes Sorbet
Cru Bourgeois.
Sought more and more by the amateurs. A "BASIC" to have absolutely in its cellar.

Château Malescasse
Cru Bourgeois.
"The" Haut-Médoc to have in your cellar. Very fruity, with a wonderful rich velvetyness on the palate.

Château Patache d’Aux
Cru Bourgeois.
Des vins complexes tant au nez qu'en bouche, des vins à forts potentiels, à découvrir.

Demoiselle de Sociando-Mallet
Second wine of Château Sociando-Mallet.
A good way of discovering the Sociando-Mallet style. Like its elder, it is a dense wine, concentrate. Very beautiful.
