AOC Languedoc-Roussillon
The Faugères vineyards are situated at an altitude of 250 m, on the schist Cévennes foothills. The traditionally predominant vine variety, the Carignan, is now beginning to be replaced by Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Cinsault is used for the rosé wines. Certain wine-growers of this region produce wines of surprising quality.
