AOC Loire Valley
Located 50 km to the West of Tours on the banks of the Loire, Bourgueil is made up of the Cabernet Franc vineyards, known locally as Cabernet Breton. The chalky-clay soil produces full-bodied red wines, yet with less tanin than the Chinon wines, and can be stored in the cellar for a long time.
